Malignant Melanoma: Australia’s silent killer.
Mole scan clinics at your office or company will improve your staff’s health and well being by detecting malignant melanomas early
Our skin cancer screening clinics review all skin lesions but are predominantly aimed at screening for malignant melanoma, as they are the most deadly type of skin cancer if not diagnosed early.
We use the latest Mole scanning technology for our screening program.
SIAscopy is the cutting edge clinically proven skin imagining technology that accurately detects melanomas at an early and treatable stage. With the new portable SIAscope, Mole Mate, Complete Corporate Health is able to perform onsite skin screens with high detection rate. We run the Mole Checks in offices, on mine sites and offshore.
All skin lesions are assessed by our qualified doctors with the aid of the MoleMate.
Australia has the worst skin cancer rates in the world
- Australia and New Zealand have the highest incidence of melanoma in the world.
- On average an Australian has 50% chance of developing a skin cancer.
- Melanoma is most common in people of European descent especially those with fair skin.
- Other people at high risk are those with many moles or family history of melanoma.
- Severe sunburn in early life increase your chance of melanoma.
Early detection saves lives
The earlier a melanoma is diagnosed and removed the greater chance of a complete recovery. Melanomas grow quickly and this change in size, shape and colour are key features for people to look out for when examining their skin. The SIAscope uses varying wavelengths of light to penetrate 2mm below the skin surface to better identify features of melanoma.
