Urine drug screens (UDS) are used to investigate possible drug use by individuals. They may be used as part of a pre-employment evaluation or workplace testing. The application of drug testing depends on the drug and alcohol policy adopted by the employer. Routine urine drug testing in Australia was first adopted by the mining industry in response to serious accidents in the workplace that could be directly attributed to drug and alcohol use. In recent years urine drug testing has become an important occupational health and safety tool for employers trying to improve safety in the workplace. In some cases it is now required as part of the Insurance cover a business may require. Urine drug testing is becoming more common every day.

At Complete Corporate Health we offer Alcohol and Drugs of Abuse screening as part of a pre-employment medical in addition we provide routine and random onsite testing.

The collection of all samples is supervised by fully qualified professional staff to ensure the chain of custody is not compromised.

All samples are tested for the following-

Amphetamines (Speed, ICE, ecstasy, pseudoephedrine )
Cocaine
Cannabinoid’s (THC or Marijuana)
Opiates (Heroin, morphine, methadone, codeine)
Benzodiazepines (sedative medication for anxiety, stress, insomnia)
Alcohol

We have a 24 hour turnaround for all UDS results, with the same day results available on request.

Positive UDS, on request, are sent for gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS) to verify and quantify results. GCMS results being available within 48 hours.

Testing locations are available throughout the Perth metropolitan area as well as many regional centres and at your place of work.

Random drug testing is our speciality. We come to your workplace, office or on the road and conduct the random spot checks. We can offer instant urine or saliva testing and/or breathalysers for alcohol. If a sample tests positive we can send it for further GCMS analysis at your request.
